1858 View from the Chicago Court House Cupola - Northeast

In the foreground is the intersection of Clark and Randolph streets, along which are a series of two- and three-story commercial buildings, with the lake in the distance. On the northeast corner of Clark and Randolph is the Evans Block, which at this time held the offices of the Chicago Tribune on its second and third floors.
