Henry Blacker, a giant

Thompson states that "He was visited several times by William, Duke of Cumberland, who was himself a very tall man, and in [this engraving], the Duke is represented among the spectators".

Mr. Henry Blacker the British giant, born near Cuckfield in Sussex 1724. Who is now to be seen opposite the Mouse Gate at Charing Cross. He is thought by all who have viewed him to be the tallest man ever exhibited in England, measuring 7 feet 4 inches, and exceeds the famous Mynheer Cajanus who was shewn with so much applause several years ago.
