I'd never heard of this movie but I didn't have a tv for a lot of years. Watched it this morning. I just learned about X-files in the past year and started watching those. Dialogue is pretty lame and there's an inordinate amount of scenes where Mulder and Scully are floundering in the dark with flashlights calling out to each other, "Mulder". "Scully". :)
Historically, comets have always been seen as portents of evil. Gotta wonder why as that seems to be a global phenomenon like the irrational fear of insects. Do we have some genetic memory of a killer comet?

I'm reminded of a classic low-budget from the 80's, Night of the Comet.

Watch the first 90 seconds. Truth in movies?

Somewhat amazing, the city panorama view at 36:00 resembles exactly the atmosphere of the 'Abandoned City Series' photography: a metropolis after the catastrophe, technically intact but without live, waiting for the refill with new people.

I wonder if the movie makers were capable of traveling some decades into future, just to borrow their ideas from this forum? 😏
